My journey into martial arts was not the typical path. When I became the guardian of my nephew for a time, I wanted to make sure that he would be able to get out and exercise, not just be stuck on video games. I found the American School of Martial arts and enrolled my nephew in a class along with several other sports. I saw the class building up his confidence and coordination. One of the parents suggested I join the adult class. 5th degree Black belt
